Teaching + Advising Resources
The Teaching and Learning Lab at the Center for Social Equity and Inclusion was founded to support reflective teaching practices and to innovate curricula. Please refer to their site for resources related to inclusive pedagogical practices, effective course design, and a myriad of other topics. Directed by the Dean of Faculty and staffed with resident Fellows, the Teaching and Learning Lab offers regular workshops and confidential one-on-one consultations with faculty wishing to work on any aspect of pedagogical and curricular development.
For information related to Academic Advising at RISD, please see the Guide for Guides Faculty Handbook for undergraduate advising. You can also download the Guide to Guides; an at-a-glance resource that aims to help undergraduate and graduate students keep track of important advising milestones, and to remind them of the importance of working with their advisor(s).
