Cardini & Yeadon’s Black Flamingo Launches at ICFF

Paolo Cardini (Associate Professor, Industrial Design) and Peter Yeadon (Professor, Interior Architecture) will be launch an elegant new chair designed by them at the upcoming International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City.

The designers exploited the lightweight strength and durability of carbon fiber composites to create a graceful chair, called Black Flamingo, that folds its legs and nests. The space-saving furniture is the result of a two-year collaboration with Clear Carbon & Components of Bristol, RI, which specializes in engineering and manufacturing carbon fiber products for marine, aerospace, and other industry sectors. Black Flamingo can be purchased at ICFF, or directly from the manufacturer’s subsidiary, Clear Carbon Interiors.
