Maltz-Leca Book Published

Leora Maltz-Leca (Associate Professor, History of Art + Visual Culture) has had her book, Wiliam Kentridge: Process as Metaphor & Other Doubtful Enterprises, published by the University of California Press.

Richard Shiff (Effie Marie Cain Regents Chair in Art, University of Texas at Austin) said of the book “With prose as lucid as it is erudite, Leora Maltz-Leca reveals the perceptual depth and conceptual intrigue of the oeuvre of William Kentridge….Her scholarly account assumes much of the character of Kentridge’s cognitive process, at once rigorous and poetic—as much a process of being, as she explains, as it is a process of art. She becomes the perfect match for Kentridge, her South African countryman.”
