Hermann Lectures on Peace-building in Colombo, Sri Lanka

Elizabeth Hermann (Professor, Landscape Architecture) lectured in Colombo, Sri Lanka on, The Arts in Conflict Transformation and Peace-Building: Sri Lanka and Colombia. The talk is part of her sabbatical writing on psychological states and creativity in times of conflict and terror, and the role creative practices can play in post-conflict societies. It is also part of her work with the Swami Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies (Eastern University), which the government has designated one of the Sri Lankan universities to lead the Institutions of Higher Education’s involvement in Reconciliation and Peace-building.
