Yeadon Nanomaterials Article in Paprika

Peter Yeadon (Professor, Interior Architecture) is featured in the next issue of Paprika, a publication produced by architecture students and faculty at Yale University. This edition is entitled On the Advantages and Disadvantages of Instrumentality for Architecture and asks external contributors to critically investigate the power and pitfalls of instruments and instrumentalization. The publication will encourage critical reflections on our own technological, economic and social milieu, and an ecology of instrumentalization, which has thus far been uncritical or overlooked. Yeadon’s article, 135 Years of Nanomaterials, reflects on architecture’s extraordinary aversion to taking on risk, and history of dependence on other fields for new materials innovations.
