Mandiberg | New York Arts Practicum & Artist Talk
New York Arts Practicum & Artist Talk
Wednesday November 11th 4:30pm
Using mentorship as a map, Michael Mandiberg will chart a path through his body of work, sharing key lessons, and tracing their influence on his work. Mandiberg will talk about interdisciplinary practice, digital art, and making work that balances poetics and utility. He will talk about the New York Arts Practicum, and his own role as a mentor, sharing some stories from past participants. These stories from the practicum will focus on finding community, intrinsic motivation, work/art balance, and learning how to continue making art after graduation.
