Upcoming Funding Opportunities: 

Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, Inc.
What:  Small grants to support individual, feminist women in the arts whose work in some way focuses on women.
When: December 31, 2014
How Much: $500-$1500

Rhode Island Council for the Humanities
What: The program supports multi-disciplinary research on environmental and policy strategies with strong potential to promote healthy eating among children to prevent childhood obesity, especially among high risk groups.
When: Concept papers due January 7, 2015
How Much: Approximately $425,000 will be awarded under this CFP. Awards up to 12 months and up to $75,000 each will be funded through this special solicitation

Five Star & Urban Waters Restoration Program
What: A program supported by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to develop the capacity of communities to sustain local natural resources, with a particular focus on water quality, watersheds, and the habitats they support.
When: February 3, 2015
How Much: Grant awards will range from $20,000 to $50,000 and must be matched on a one-to-one basis with cash and/or in-kind goods and services.

Edward A. Knapp Undergraduate Fellowship
What: A summer fellowship program, in Santa Fe, NM, to provide undergraduate students with a toolbox for understanding and using mathematical modeling in complex systems and individual disciplines. The fellowship runs approximately 10 weeks, from June 7 to August 15, 2015.
When: February 7, 2015
How Much: A living stipend, housing, meal-plan and some round-trip travel support are provided.
