As part of the Ballard Institute’s Fall Puppet Forum Series, Anthropologist Winnie Lambrecht (Senior Lecturer, HAVC) premieres her new film at the Ballard Institute on Thursday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m.  Puppetry and Politics in 1939: The Vagabond Puppeteers explores political puppet theater among dairy farmers in upstate New York during the 1930s. Admission to this event is free (donations greatly appreciated), and refreshments will be served. Come early and experience the puppet exhibitions— including Stages of Enchantment: The Puppet Theaters of Blair Thomas & Company—as well as the extensive video resources in the library nook.
