Strohecker at European Commission

Carol Strohecker (Vice Provost) presented at two European Commission events in Brussels, Belgium.

Strohecker moderated the keynote panel at the BOZAR Electronic Arts Festival in Brussels, Belgium, “Art & Digital Technologies: Disruptive Innovation Practices For An Unknown Future” (click the “meer info” link).

Presenting in the “ICT Art Connect Worldview” panel were Luis Miguel Girao of the European Commission, Christian Waldvogel of the European Space Agency, and Bill O’Brien of the US National Endowment for the Arts.

Following the symposium, Strohecker and O’Brien presented to members of the European Commission’s CONNECT Directorate-General for Digital Science. Themes of discussion pertained to emerging US networks such as SEAD and STEAM, promoting collaboration among artists and scientists in research, creative practice, education, and economic development.
