NCSS guest speakers scheduled

This fall, two guest speakers will come to RISD, sponsored by the Nature Culture Sustainability Studies program.

Bill Reed, AIA, LEED. Bill was one of the founders of the US Green Building Council and instrumental in developing the LEED Program. His work has evolved remarkably and exhibits an understanding of the issues confronting us all, and how best to approach them.

John Warner, Ph.D. John is widely known as the father of Green Chemistry, and won the Perkin Medal for applied chemistry last year – the US equivalent of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He has left academia and founded Warner Babcock, Inc., a chemistry research and consultancy organization based in Wilmington, MA.
