KENNETH GOLDSMITH UNCREATIVITY AS CREATIVE PRACTICE: A PRIMER
Kenneth Goldsmith (RISD BFA Sculpture 1984) is the author of more than a dozen books of poetry and poetics which redefine and vastly expand the field. He is the founding editor of the living archive UbuWeb. From 1996-2009, he hosted a weekly radio show on New York City’s WFMU. In 2013, he was appointed the Museum of Modern Art’s first Poet Laureate. Goldsmith teaches in the Center for Programs in Contemporary Writing at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is also the Senior Editor of PennSound.
W+ Open Class. Writing+ is a RISD Graduate Studies seminar, led by Mairéad Byrne and supported by the RISD 2050 Fund. When we have visiting speakers, class is open to the community for the first 90 minutes.
