Greenlee – recent performances in Providence

Shawn Greenlee (Assistant Professor, Foundation Studies) performed at three concerts in Providence this September. Each performance featured a different computer-based, audio synthesis/processing system composed within the last two years. Performances were held on 9/16 at Psychic Readings (AS220), 9/19 at the PUFFERSS festival, and 9/27 at Thee Eldritch.

On August 23, Greenlee joined Dislocation Ensemble for the DOT AIR festival under the Pawtucket River Bridge. Dislocation Ensemble consists of a rotating cast of improvisers focused on the dynamic reconfiguration of local sound environments in real time. All source material is gathered solely from the immediate surroundings within the duration of a given performance.
