RI Campus Compact Faculty Fellows Selected

Selections have been made for the 2013-2014 Rhode Island Campus Compact Presidential Faculty Fellowship, including the following two RISD faculty members. RICC welcomes the new Faculty Fellows and looks forward to an academic year of community engagement, shared practice, and meaningful learning.

Paul Sproll (Professor, Teaching + Learning in Art + Design)
Project: “Evaluating Community-Based Practicum: Arts Learning for Urban Youth in Out-of-School-Time”

Amy Leidtke (Critic, Industrial Design)
Project: “Thought Leadership Position on Equal Access to Design Education”

Rhode Island Campus Compact strengthens the collective commitment and capacity of colleges and universities to advance civic and community engagement in order to fulfill the public purpose of higher education. RICC is a coalition of colleges and university presidents dedicated to helping campus-based community service initiatives coordinate, organize, and deepen their individual and collective work, and their collaboration with other service organizations, in order that they might make significant, positive impacts on student learning and the quality of life in the state.
