Foundation for Contemporary Arts: Grants to Art Organizations

What: Grants to organizations for specific projects or operational support in dance, music/sound, performance art/theater, poetry, and the visual arts that provide opportunities for artists to present their work or offer artists professional services.

When: May 1, 2013

How Much: Up to $5,000.


The Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation

What: This grant support museums, cultural, and performing arts programs; schools, hospitals, educational and skills training programs, programs for youth, seniors, and the handicapped; environmental and wildlife protection activities; and other community-based organizations and their programs.

When: May 10, 2013

How Much: $1,000- $20,000.


ESA Foundation Grant

What: Grants to support USA non-profit organizations that develop innovative and effective programs and services that utilize technology and/or computer and video games to educate youth and young adults (targeting ages 7-18) about positive life values.

When: May 15, 2013

How Much: Up to $50,000 for first time awardees.


URI Visual Arts Sea Grant

What: This grant assists individuals and/or collaborating artists whose works are related to themes of the marine environment.

When: May 24, 2013.

How Much: Between $5,000 and $50,000


Avant-Garde Masters Grants

What: A national award to to non-profit organizations and public archives for avant-garde film preservation projects.

When: May 29, 2013.

How Much: 8-10 will be awarded based on financial need.


NEH Building Bridges Through Film

What: This grant supports documentary films that examine international and transnational themes in the humanities.

When: June 12, 2013

How Much: Up to $800,000.


Rhode Island Council for the Humanities

RICH grants support various phases of public humanities projects (from research and development to production) and many kinds of public humanities projects (from live discussion and presentation programs to broadcast media programs).
