Artist Practice Seminar & Lecture Scheduled

Two evenings with Annabeth Rosen have been scheduled, sponsored by the Division of Fine Arts, Ceramics and Textiles.

After Graduation: What, Where, How, With Whom?
Rosen, joined by RISD Fine Arts faculty, will lead a discussion on the opportunities and challenges for graduating students entering professional practice and the skills needed to navigate job interviews, teaching, residencies, grants, galleries, exhibitions, studios, storage, shipping and more.

Annabeth Rosen uses clay to create densely expressive sculptures that work both with and against the medium’s traditional utility, formal methodologies and cultural context. Recent solo shows include Meulensteen, Project Space, New York; Paule Anglim, San Francisco; and Fleisher/Ollman, Philadelphia. Rosen is the recipient of many awards and grants including the Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant, a Pew Fellowship in the Arts and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. She holds the Ameson Endowed Chair at the University of California at Davis.
