Apparel Students Partner with Festival Ballet
The fulfillment of a fall semester Cut & Sew Studio for Dance Costume class will be staged by Festival Ballet’s February performances of “Little Red Riding Hood“. Taught by Beth Bentley (Assistant Professor, Apparel Design) and Karen Young (Critic, Apparel Design), the studio is allowing a handful of RISD students to see their talent and vision come alive on stage. “The most thrilling part of this project was fitting my costume work-in-progress on the dancers and seeing it come to life as they danced. This collaboration is definitely an experience to remember,” said Anica Buckson, a junior studying apparel design.
