Apparel Students Partner with Festival Ballet

The fulfillment of a fall semester Cut & Sew Studio for Dance Costume class will be staged by Festival Ballet’s February performances of “Little Red Riding Hood“. ¬†Taught by Beth Bentley (Assistant Professor, Apparel Design) and Karen Young (Critic, Apparel Design), the studio is allowing a handful of RISD students to see their talent and vision come alive on stage. “The most thrilling part of this project was fitting my costume work-in-progress on the dancers and seeing it come to life as they danced. This collaboration is definitely an experience to remember,” said Anica Buckson, a junior studying apparel design.
