Tony Fretton, 'Buildings for Art and Other Things'
Tonight, Monday, October 31, at 7:00 in the Metcalf Auditorium at the Chace Center:
Tony Fretton, ‘Buildings for Art and Other Things’
Please join the Department of Architecture for the last of the semester’s evening lecture series. Tony Fretton’s work for and in collaboration with artists and arts institutions has provided a laboratory for the development of ideas about the reciprocity of art and architecture, natural light, material expression and the relationship to the landscape and cityscape. As a professor of architecture (in Holland, Switzerland, the UK and the US), his interest in lecturing at RISD is motivated by a genuine investment in open discussion and in different ways of thinking.
