Gregory Victory appointed Director of RISD Career Center

Gregory J. Victory  has been appointed Director of the RISD Career Center.  Greg comes to RISD from Syracuse University where he has served in a number of capacities, as an adjunct faculty member in Communications and Rhetorical Studies, as associate director of Career Services, and most recently as Director of First-Year and Transfer programs. Prior to his Syracuse experience, Greg was the director for the Center for Leadership and Student Involvement at Colgate University.
Greg received his B.A. from LeMoyne College and an M.S. in Higher Education from Syracuse. During his years at Syracuse, Greg identified, developed, and stewarded partnerships with corporations, national organizations, and non-profit agencies to maximize opportunities for Syracuse students. He also solicited and secured corporate sponsorships to support career exploration and designed programs and services that connected students to their academic experience. Greg’s management of a comprehensive center for student development at Colgate coupled with his background in career services has prepared him well to enhance activities at the RISD Career Center.
Victory was selected via a national search: search committee members were  Sarah Spencer, Matthew Monk, Robin Quigley, Lucy King, Jessica Brown and Emily Albert.
