Decker and Yeadon in the news
The work of Martina Decker (Critic, Foundation Studies) and Peter Yeadon (Assoc. Professor, Interior Architecture) has been recently featured in the design magazines “Competitions” (Louisville), “Design Indaba” (Cape Town, South Africa), “Planet” (New York), “Intérieurs” (Montréal), “Selector” (Australia), “SPACE” (Korea), “Русский Репортер” (Russia), and “Dwell” (San Francisco). The work of their firm, Decker Yeadon LLC, was also “1000 Product Designs” published by Rockport Publishers (New York). Reuters TV News Service interviewed the partners this week about their Homeostatic Facade System, and National Public Radio WGBH/WCAI recently broadcast news of their Light Sanctuary land art installation designed for Dubai.
The recently released Birkhäuser book “Material Design” contains a section written by Peter Yeadon on nanotechnology in architecture and design. The book’s editor is Thomas Schröpfer, an Associate Professor at Harvard’s GSD. Other contributors included James Carpenter, James Carpenter Design Associates in New York; Sheila Kennedy, Kennedy & Violich Architecture in Boston; Toshiko Mori, Toshiko Mori Architects in New York, and Harvard University Graduate School of Design; Liat Margolis, John Daniels Architecture School at the University of Toronto; Nader Tehrani, Office dA in Boston, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
