Stacy Riseman, Director of Grants and Contracts joins Academic Affairs
On February 14th, 2011 Stacy Riseman will join the staff of Academic Affairs’ Research Office as the Director of Grants and Contracts. As RISD’s first Director of Grants and Contracts Stacy will be responsible for the coordination of pre and post award grants and related contract administration. She will serve as primary point of contact for faculty for all queries about externally sponsored research and will regularly alert faculty to grant opportunities. Over the next few months she will work with General Counsel, the Associate Provost, and other advisors to develop a suite of research policies and document best practices and procedures, with a particular focus on federal compliance. Administration of industry sponsored studios will continue to be handled through the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
Stacy comes to RISD having most recently served as Director of Sponsored Programs at the Franklin Olin College of Engineering in Needham, MA. Prior to that she served as Director of Research Relations at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Grants Management Specialist at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, and Supervisor of Award Activity in Brown’s Office of Research Administration. Stacy holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Roger Williams University and a MBA from Salve Regina University.
