Taylor Davis, October 26
Taylor Davis is a Boston-based artist whose sculptures are often composed of meticulously joined, raw materials and reference the rural architecture of her childhood. Davis’ work has been exhibited at White Columns, NY; the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; and the Whitney Biennial in 2004, to name a few, and was recently awarded the Radcliffe Fellowship (2010-2011). She received her MFA from the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard College, and is a professor at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and co-chair of sculpture at Bard College
Sue de Beer, November 9
Sue de Beer splits her time between Berlin and New York City. She uses video, installation, and photography to explore the connections between memory, history, and architecture. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in such venues as the New Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, PS1/MOMA, and the Museum of Modern Art, Busan, in Busan, South Korea. De Beer received her MFA from Columbia University in 1998 and is currently a professor at New York University.
