Mikyoung Kim and the Stamford Environmental Magnet School

Mikyoung Kim Design (Mikyoung Kim, Professor, Landscape Arch., principal)  recently completed a sustainable landscape architecture project for the Stamford Environmental Magnet School.  At the heart of the design is a rain garden that collects stormwater from  roofs and impervious surfaces.  The infrastructure for the stormwater retention basin is the foundation of a demolished building.  The intention of the magnet school is to create an environment that allows for kids K-8 to engage with the processes of nature and to learn through making and doing.
