Carrie Moyer: How to Paint, Write, Teach, be an Activist, and Generally Try to Stay Sane

How to Paint, Write, Teach, Be an Activist, and Generally Try to Stay Sane, the third talk of the second season of the Skowhegan Talks series will be  a conversation between Carrie Moyer (Assistant Professor, Painting) and artist Mira Schor. The talk will take place Sunday, October 17th, 3:00 pm at the New Museum located at 235 Bowery Street in Manhattan. This series organized by the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture features conversations between some of the most influential visual artists working today–all alumni and faculty of the residency program of the Skowhegan School . While the association with Skowhegan is the common factor among the discussants, the conversations address subjects of broader interest  and explore the mentor-student relationship, a model that is becoming increasingly important in today’s art world.
