Christopher Robbins, SUNY Purchase, the Ghana Think Tank, IJEDICT and more
Christopher Robbins (Critic, Graduate Studies and class of ’07) joins the SUNY Purchase College Sculpture Faculty as Assistant Professor of Art+Design (Sculpture/ 3D).
The Ghana Think Tank, founded in 2006 by Robbins and Digital + Media classmates John Ewing and Matey Odonkor and later joined by Carmen Montoya won the Creative Time/Queens Museum Public Art Commission. The award was announced in the Wall Street Journal. Read more about the Ghana Think Tank
In the latest edition of IJEDICT, the International Journal of Education and Development using ICT: Vol. 6, No. 2 (2010), Robbins published an article entitled “Beyond Preservation: New Directions for Technological Innovation through Intangible Cultural Heritage” which explores the potential of digital media for the preservation and exploration of indigenous cultural traditions.
