Arts Writers Grant Program 2010

Call for Submissions

Designed to encourage and reward rigorous, passionate, eloquent, and precise writing about contemporary art, as well as to create a broader audience for arts writing, the Arts Writers Grant Program aims to strengthen the field as a whole and to ensure that critical writing remains a valued mode of engaging the visual arts.

Writers who meet the program’s eligibility requirements are invited to apply in the categories of articles, blogs, books, new and alternative media, and short-form writing.

Grants will range from $3,000 to $50,000 each, depending on the needs and scope of the project. In partnership with the International Association of Art Critics/USA Section, the program also offers applicants the opportunity to strengthen their work through one-on-one consultations with leading art critics.
