Mapping Identities is a collaborative initiative to explore and engage the diverse identities in the RISD community. Sponsored by the Provost’s Office, this initiative provides partial funding for a wide range of faculty and/or student projects. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis and require the applicant’s department or division to provide partial funding. Recent funded projects include the Kindred exhibition and symposium, the You Tube Diversity Panel, workshops on critique and psychological safety in the classroom, and the Illustrator as Scholar symposium.
Projects may encompass research clusters, creative practice, the scholarship of teaching and learning, lecture series, workshops, curriculum development, faculty learning communities, or take other forms.
