Division of Graduate Studies

During the Spring 2016 term Graduate Studies will be administered by Provost Pradeep Sharma.

The Graduate Studies Office schedules “In Focus” Open House informational programs for prospective graduate applicants, and also oversees all Award, Assistantship, Fellowship, and Scholarship distributions for graduate students.

RISD’s main graduate exhibition space is the Sol Koffler Gallery located in the Center for Integrative Technologies located at 169 Weybosset Street. Opening receptions are on Thursday evenings to coincide with the opening schedules for Woods-Gerry Gallery, the RISD Museum, and Providence’s Gallery Night. Students work collaboratively across departments to curate and design a series of exhibitions and symposia. The Graduate Thesis Exhibition organized by Mark Moscone, Director of Campus Exhibitions, takes place late in the spring and provides a comprehensive and sophisticated survey of the work done in graduate studios throughout the college.
