Current Research Opportunities:
What: The Collaborative is now accepting letters of intent for our 2017 grant cycle. Proposals funded by The Collaborative will address the questions posed by state policy leaders through individual and team research projects that use creative approaches aligned with the expertise and interests of scholars.
When: Letter of Intent due: June 1, 2017; Researcher Notification: June 10, 2017; Full Proposals due: July 10, 2017.
How much: Award amounts range from $2,000-$50,000.
What: The Education Innovation Research Network provides Rhode Island scholars and practitioners with opportunities to work collaboratively on research projects related to education topics and is a partnership between The College & University Research Collaborative (The Collaborative), the Rhode Island Office of Innovation, and EduvateRI. The research funded as part of this initial project will provide a focused, short-term exploration of questions related to personalized learning.
When: Letters of intent are due June 5th, 2017.
How much: Grants range up to $25,000.
What: The Our Town grant program supports creative placemaking projects that help to transform communities into lively, beautiful, and resilient places – achieving these community goals through strategies that incorporate arts, culture, and/or design. These projects require a partnership between a nonprofit organization and a local government entity, with one of the partners being a cultural organization.
When: Application deadline is Sep 11, 2017.
How much: Matching grants between $25,000 to $200,000 will be awarded.
