Current Research Opportunities:
What: Texas Photographic Society (TPS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1984 that celebrates the photographic arts, inspires creative development, and provides opportunities to engage with the community. TPS is delighted to announce a new award program for artists residing in the United States who have a consistent body of photographic work.
When: Application deadline is June 23, 2017.
How much: The recipient will be awarded a $2,000 cash prize; a solo exhibition at a confirmed Participating Space during FotoFest 2018 in Houston, Texas; a solo exhibition at LHUCA in Lubbock, Texas; and international exposure in the photo community.
What: The ATCH (Architecture Theory Criticism History) Research Centre (University of Queensland) invites Expressions of Interest for the Visiting Fellows Program 2018. The program welcomes Expressions of Interest from scholars with varying levels of experience who are carrying out critical research in architecture.
When: Applications are due July 1, 2017
How much: The Visiting Fellows Research Program supports short term residencies of one to three months for scholars to work on innovative research on the history, theory and criticism of architecture.
What: The College Art Association is accepting applications to its Millard Meiss Publication Fund.
The program supports book-length scholarly manuscripts in the history of art, visual studies, and related subjects that have been accepted by a publisher on their merits but cannot be published in the most desirable form without a subsidy.
When: The deadlines for the receipt of applications is September 15, 2017.
How much: When preparing the budget, the publisher should be as specific as possible about costs and the use to which grant monies will be put as the jury carefully considers financial information when making an award. The grant sum is intended to be less than the total cost of production; that is, a substantial portion of production costs must be met by the publisher or be from other sources.
