What: National Arts Strategies is seeking applications for its 2017 Creative Community Fellowship program for innovators committed to using arts and culture to design solutions for community problems.
When: All applications must be received no later than April 23, 2017.
How much: All tuition, including the cost of lodging, food, local transportation and program fees ($8,000) is completely underwritten. Fellows are responsible for their transportation to and from the two in-person events.
What: The National Storytelling Network is accepting applications for the 2017 Brimstone Award for Applied Storytelling, an annual award that recognizes the transformational properties of storytelling and the ways storytelling can promote change in individuals and communities.
When: Preliminary proposals must be received no later than April 28, 2017. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by August 25, 2017.
How much: Grants of $5,000 will be awarded in support of model storytelling projects that are service-oriented, hosted by a community or organization, and replicable to some extent in other places and situations.
What: In recognition of the importance of experiencing original works of art, the Terra Foundation for American Art supports exhibitions that enlarge the understanding and appreciation of historical American art made between 1500 and 1980.
When: Letters of Inquiry must be received no later than August 1, 2017. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal, which must be returned by October 16, 2017.
How much: In 2016, grants awarded to institutions ranged between $2,000-$450,000.
