The purpose of the National Academy Affiliated Fellow (NAAF) is to provide an eight-week residency at the American Academy in Rome (AAR), Italy, awarded annually to a mid-career visual artist or architect. The NAAF allows artists and architects the opportunity to advance their skills through interacting and working in one of the oldest and most inspiring cosmopolitan cities in the world while living in the dynamic community of artists, architects and scholars at the American Academy in Rome (aarome.org).
