ACP Reports Available on Digital Commons
RISD’s Academic Commons Program (ACP) was a two-year investigation into integrative teaching and learning funded by a $160,000 grant from the Davis Educational Foundation. Co-coordinated by Jennifer Liese (Director, Writing Center) and Patricia Phillips (Dean, Graduate Studies) from 2012 to 2014, the program provided grants in support of fourteen co-curricular projects led by faculty, graduate students, and post-grads, as well as six faculty fellowships focused on Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
The funded projects were diverse in their topics and methodologies, but common themes recurred in multiple projects—writing, code, mindfulness, and constructivist pedagogy, most significantly. Each of the projects was substantively documented, and we hope the reports will serve as valuable resources for further development in these areas.
