Ryskin and Moser Awarded the Andrew W. Mellon Teaching Fellowship for 2016/2017

The RISD Museum and the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology are pleased to announce that Jefferey Moser (Assistant Professor, Department of History, Art, and Architecture, Brown University) and Masha Ryskin (Assistant Professor, Department of Experimental and Foundation Studies, Rhode Island School of Design) have been awarded the Andrew W. Mellon Teaching Fellowships for 2016/2017.

The Andrew W. Mellon Teaching Fellowship program brings the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology and the RISD Museum together in common intellectual enterprise designed to enhance object based teaching and research. The goal of the four-year pilot project to develop a critical conversation that engages faculty and students with objects in their collections and explores how digital viewing and sharing impacts their meanings.
