NEA GAP FY2016 Art Works II Applications

What: “Art Works” refers to three things: the works of art themselves, the ways art works on audiences, and the fact that art is work for the artists and arts professionals who make up the field. Art works by enhancing the value of individuals and communities, by connecting us to each other and to something greater than ourselves, and by empowering creativity and innovation in our society and economy.
When: Application deadline is July 23, 2015

How Much: $10,000 to $100,000.

Ucross Foundation Accepting Applications for Spring Artist Residencies

What: The Ucross Foundation provides uninterrupted time, work space, and living accommodations to competitively selected visual artists, writers, and composers. Nearly thirteen hundred individuals from every state in the U.S. as well as from Germany, France, Scotland, England, Poland, Egypt, the Netherlands, Canada, and Thailand, have spent time at Ucross since it first opened its doors in Sheridan, Wyoming.

When: Application deadline is October 1, 2015 for Spring Session, which runs from March 2016 through the first Friday in June 2016.

How Much: Residencies vary in length from two to six weeks.

Vilcek Prizes For Creative Promise in Biomedical Science

What: The Vilcek Foundation is seeking applicants for the 2016 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Biomedical Science. Applications are being accepted from young, foreign-born researchers age 38 and under. The individuals chosen will have demonstrated exceptional independence and creativity by their 38th birthday. The work may be in basic, applied, and/or translational biomedical science. The applicant must be directly responsible for the design and execution of the work submitted.

When: Application deadline is June 15, 2015

How Much: Three prizes of $50,000 each to young foreign-born biomedical scientists who demonstrate outstanding early achievement.
