What: Building Demand for the Arts grants will support efforts by exemplary artists and organizations to increase demand for jazz, theater, and contemporary dance.
When: Letter’s of Inquiry (LOI’s) due April 24, 2015
How Much: Up to $40,000 for Exploration Grants and up to $110,000 for Implementation Grants.
What: A fellowship program for innovators committed to using arts and culture to design solutions for community problems.
When: Application deadline is April 26, 2015
How Much: All tuition, including lodging and meals is completely underwritten. Fellows are only responsible for their transportation.
What: Grants will be awarded in support of policy and advocacy activities that help communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island achieve age-friendly status.
When: Letter of Inquiry due July 20, 2015
How Much: The foundation does not set a minimum or maximum dollar amount for grants. Applicant’s should request the amount needed for a program and outline the expenditures for that amount accordingly in the LOI.
What: Grants will be awarded to projects that provide direct services, advocacy, education, and/or training programs for professionals working with elders, as well as for research that investigates causes and solutions to significant problems of older adults.
When: The foundation considers proposals on February 1, May 1, and August 1. Should an applicant like to discuss a project before submitting a full proposal, a brief Letter of Inquiry should be sent to the foundation at least three weeks prior to a deadline.
How Much: 2014 year grants were awarded up to $115,000
What: The Rome Prize is awarded annually to emerging artists and scholars in the early or middle stages of their careers who exemplify the highest standard of excellence in arts and humanities scholarship.
When: Application deadline is November 1, 2015
How Much: Each Rome Prize winner is provided with a stipend, meals, a bedroom with private bath, and a study or studio. (Those with children under the age of 18 live in partially subsidized apartments nearby.) Winners of six-month and eleven-month fellowships receive stipends of $16,000 and $28,000, respectively.
What: Grants will be awarded in support of high-quality educational programs that help children and youth understand and appreciate our world through hands-on learning experiences aimed at improving the environment in their schools and communities.
When: Application deadline is September 30, 2015
How Much: $500 to $2,500
