Printmaking self-study and advisory panel visit

The Printmaking Self-Study and Advisory Panel Visit will take place on November 10-12, 2014, with committee members: Carmon Colangelo, Dean, E. Desmond Lee Professor of Art, Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, Washington University of St. Louis; Melissa Brown, Associate Professor in Studio Arts, Lehman College, CUNY; Michael Krueger, Associate Professor of Art, University of Kansas; and Jimin Lee, Professor, University of California, Santa Cruz.

The Board of Trustees established a program of visiting committees as part of an overall desire to assure, maintain, and further develop the quality of academic programs at RISD. The purpose of the program is to charge a team of professionals to identify the strengths, weaknesses, and needs of an academic unit as they relate to goals, faculty, students, curriculum and facilities. The team also asses the relationship of the unit with other units at the institution, as well as constituencies and opportunities beyond the institution.

The visits provide RISD an objective reference of educational quality. Further they provide assistance and support in maintaining and promoting strengths and opportunities for improving or altering areas in need of change.
