Cieri Presents at the American Folklore Society

Marie Cieri (Critic, Graduate Studies) made a presentation at the American Folklore Society annual meeting in Providence during a Friday, October 18, 2013 morning session titled “Gaps in the Record: Charting the Performance of Rupture.” Cieri, a geographer, arts producer and artist, told a number of intersecting stories “none of them complete and none able to encompass the many disasters, natural and manmade, that occurred before, during and after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita hit the Gulf Coast” that move through her “Impressionistic Map of the Katrina/Rita Diaspora,” 2006.
