Barbeito Named Translation Prize Winner

Patricia Barbeito (Associate Professor, Literary Arts + Studies) has won the 2013 Constantinides Memorial Translation Prize for her translation of Elias Maglinis’ “The Interrogation.” The prize, for original, new translations into English of a literary work published in Modern Greek, is intended to raise the profile of contemporary Greek literature in English and to award translation as a creative, intellectually meaningful exercise.
