Campus Master Plan Survey Results Posted

Director of Campus Planning Annie Newman reports that the master planning process is moving forward thanks to the help of many members of the RISD community. The results of the second campus-wide survey show that more than 95% of respondents are now aware of the planning process.

When asked to rank the top challenges identified by the master plan Steering Committee, survey takers pointed to:

the importance of a socially, economically and environmentally sustainable plan;

one that improves the quantity and quality of studios and home spaces;

the need to design spaces that can easily be adapted for changing uses;

and the importance of more equitable space allocations between departments.

On Friday, July 19, Newman is hosting an Open Staff Forum about the master planning process from 11–12:30 in the Chace Center’s Metcalf Auditorium.
