Final call for proposals for Graduate Studies funded research projects

Graduate Studies invites eligible faculty to apply for Graduate Research Assistant support by November 15, 2012  the final round of research project support for the academic year 2013/13. Research Assistants are graduate students engaged in faculty-guided or –directed research. The students’ work is supportive of faculty research objectives, but also a meaningful educational experience for the student and an opportunity to contribute to the creation of new knowledge.

Graduate Studies will compensate Research Assistants for funded proposals

Full-time faculty and part-time faculty with multi-year contracts are eligible to apply.

Assistantships approved during the November 15 review can begin as soon as January 1, 2013 and can be of any duration as long as the Research Assistants’ work is completed by June 30, 2013.

A sub-committee of the RISD Research Initiative (RRI), appointed by the RRI Chair, will review applications and make recommendations to the Dean of Graduate Studies.

Other project expenses cannot be funded through this process.
