Gwen Farrelly, Director of Global Programs and Partners
Gwen Farrelly has been named Director of Global Programs and Partners.
Prior to joining RISD, Ms. Farrelly was the Assistant Director of the International Program department at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, where she oversaw global research initiatives and projects, which included exchange programs, publications, and seminars. From 2005-2007, Ms. Farrelly was the Landau Fellow for Education at MoMA and organized public programs and symposia to accompany the exhibitions On-Site: New Architecture in Spain and Dada, and the Feminist Future symposium, and curated the exhibition Spaces for Learning at The Museum of Modern Art: 1929-1969 (2007). Ms. Farrelly is currently a PhD student at The Graduate Center, CUNY, where she specializes in post-1960s art history in a global context. She also holds an MA in Art History from The Courtauld Institute of Art, London, and a BA in the History of Art and Architecture and Italian from Trinity College, Dublin. She serves on the International Committee for the College Art Association and International Council of Art 21.
