Nade Haley in Winter's Tempest

The work of Nade Haley (Professor, Foundation Studies) will be seen in “Winter Tempest, Selections from the Permanent Collection” at the Islip Art Museum which runs from February 8 – March 25, 2012.  The opening will take place on February 26th. The Museum is located at 52 Irish Lane in East Islip, NY.

The show’s title refers to the magical chaos so identified with Shakespeare’s great last work and the play’s” also humor and alchemy, romance and tragedy and the dreamy emotional landscape of exile, betrayal and survival. Each of the works included in Winter Tempest, Selections from the Permanent Collection were selected for the ways in which they, too, examine aspects of visual tumult, illusion and the emotive surge that seems to weave in and out of Shakespeare’s final drama.” (Janet Goleas, curator)
