Kathrin Stengel and Upper West Side Philosophers in Chronicle of Higher Education

Carlin Romano has written in “The Chronicle of Higher Education” about the Upper West Side Philosophers, Inc. and two of its recent publications, “Fatal Numbers: Why Count On Chance,” written by Hans Magnus Enzensberger and “The Vocation of Poetry,” by Durs Grünbein. Kathrin Stengel (Lecturer, Architecture/HPSS) president of Upper West Side Philosophers, Inc. co-founded the group with Michael Eskin as “an independent space and place for the practice of philosophy in a way that is rigorous, yet embodied, disciplined, yet relaxed, historically founded, yet geared toward everyday life.” Click here to read Romano’s piece.
