Agnieszka Taborska and Brown's "oneironautics happening"
“The Dreaming Life of Leonora de la Cruz” – a conversation with art historian and author Agnieszka Taborska will take place on Saturday, April 9 at 6pm as part of Brown University’s “oneir0nautics happening”. The happening will take place in the Kooper Studio (4th floor North) of the Granoff Center for Creative Arts located at 145 Waterman Street. Taborska will speak about the Patron Saint of Surrealism and will screen a performance based on the book and Marcin Gizycki’s work-in-progress animation based on Taborska’s book
“This happening stems from the multiplicity of dreams lingering in the minds of providence residents. how might residual events, images, people, and emotions from these dreams color daily interactions—and consequently city life?Visitors will be invited to investigate by exploring a curiosity cabinet filled with fragments of dreams submitted online and on-site by the public. the weekend also will feature performances, lectures, and bedtime stories by students from various schools and departments, community members, and special guests. All events are free and open to the public.”
